Star of 'The Shining' and 'Nashville' Passes Away
Shelley Duvall, the actress known for her haunting performance in Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining," has died at the age of 75. Duvall's quirky screen personality and piercing scream made her one of the most recognizable faces in horror cinema.
Altman Collaborator and Cannes Winner
Duvall also had a close collaboration with director Robert Altman, appearing in seven of his films, including "Nashville" and "McCabe & Mrs. Miller." For her performance in "Three Women" (1977), she won the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival.
Duvall's family confirmed her passing, but no cause of death has been released as of yet.
